Singletary got 4 carries for 14 yards; Harbaugh testing him for hot hand

Singletary had four carries for 14 yards in the four-way running back timeshare. Harbaugh brought him into the mix to see if he could "get a hot hand and earn it," stating: "Motor (RB Devin Singletary) really hasn't had a chance to take the bull by the horns. So, we thought we'd get him in the mix, too." However, the Giants' run game was a disaster overall, producing only 34 yards on 14 carries (2.4 yards per carry) against New Orleans, with no back establishing themselves as the primary option.
