Bleeding Green Nation on Johnny Mundt

Mundt's repeated protection breakdowns and holds undermined the Eagles' passing game.

Mundt was involved in multiple protection breakdowns. On one play, he held the linebacker after getting beaten around the edge, and while the hold bought McKee the extra moment needed to make the throw, the penalty came back and the source notes Mundt's hold was a symptom of a larger protection problem. Later, Mundt was sacked almost immediately on a play with five rushers and seven players protecting, and the source notes he looked clueless every time he was out there. Mundt struggled badly in pass protection assignments throughout the game.
