Last week, the 49ers planted seeds for an offense that could center on George Kittle. I think we see that come to fruition on Monday night. No team allows more touchdowns to tight ends than Washington. After a low-usage game against Seattle, paired with the injury to Evans and the other injuries at the position, Week 6 has the makings of a classic Kittle game in primetime.

Kittle set for classic game: Washington allows most TE TDs, Kittle due for volume.

George Kittle is primed for a classic primetime breakout game Monday night. Washington allows more touchdowns to tight ends than any team in the NFL and ranks in the bottom three in receptions, targets, and pass rate over expectation against the position. The Commanders also allow the most red zone TDs to tight ends and sixth-most yards after the catch to the position. After a low-usage game against Seattle and with injuries to Evans and other 49ers receivers, the offense is expected to center on Kittle, especially given Kyle Shanahan's scheme that funnels targets to the middle of the field—a problematic matchup for Washington's defense.
