Hunt led NFL in rushing as rookie in 2017; offense changed when Mahomes took over.

Kareem Hunt was the NFL's leading rusher in his rookie season with 1,327 yards when Mahomes was drafted in 2017, but that offensive identity was dismantled when Mahomes took over in 2018. The Chiefs' offense was molded to fit Mahomes' shotgun-based, spread-offense tendencies and his All-Pro weapons rather than featuring a lead running back.
