Yahoo Sports NFL on Tyler Higbee

Higbee leads TE group but fumbled critically; tight ends underperforming despite Rams' investment.

Higbee led Rams tight ends with 48 snaps (83% of plays) on Sunday but the tight end group combined for nine catches on 10 targets with 53 yards, one touchdown, and a critical lost fumble by Higbee. Despite being expected to take a step back this season, Higbee's 246 yards through Week 7 eclipse the combined total of all four other Rams tight ends (181 yards). The source notes this is a poor return on the Rams' significant investment in tight end development.
