From the article

Tyjae Spears played 23.9% of the Titans' offensive snaps in Week 6 and had two touches — one carry, one catch. There were times during the preseason and in the early weeks of the season when it seemed as if the Titans' backfield might be a near-timeshare, with Tony Pollard as the 1A, Spears as the 1B. But Pollard is now clearly the lead back in Tennessee, and the Titans' offense is so impotent that it's not worth holding a backup RB on this team.
