Jones was featured on two significant completions in McCarthy's film review. On the 27-yard Nabers completion, Jones ran one of two deep crossing patterns against Cover-6 to help hold the middle hook defenders. On the 49-yard gain, McCarthy saw a Cover-3 look and gave Jones a chance against deep third defender Quincy Riley (29); the ball was underthrown and identified by Riley, but the Saints' cornerback knocked it into the air and Jones somehow secured it for a 49-yard gain. The analysis notes McCarthy may not have made this throw in a neutral game script but it made sense down multiple scores late in the fourth quarter.
