Field Gulls on Rashid Shaheed

$34M guaranteed but averaging 2 touches per game; fumbled twice vs Broncos.

Rashid Shaheed signed a $34M guaranteed contract extension this past offseason, but is severely underutilized; before the Broncos game, he was averaging only a little over two touches per game, far below what his contract priority would suggest. The article notes Andrew Lock wanted to see the Seahawks use short passes as an extension of the run game to get Shaheed's involvement in line with his contract priority. Then Shaheed fumbled twice against Denver, adding to the turnover crisis and raising questions about his role and reliability.
