Taylor's 1,585 yards and 18 TDs in 2025 make him the elite RB upgrade Harbaugh wants.

The 27-year-old elite running back had 1,585 rushing yards and a league-best 18 rushing touchdowns in 2025, with four 1,000-yard seasons over his first six NFL seasons, three Pro Bowl appearances, and a first-team All-Pro honor in 2021. Giants head coach John Harbaugh is seeking 'a Derrick Henry circumstance or a Saquon Barkley circumstance' at running back, and Taylor would immediately provide that elite-back profile the Giants lack; the source notes the Giants have no 20-yard runs from a running back yet this season, with current backs averaging 3.0–3.6 yards per carry.
