STACKED’s take
Ferguson's snap share drops to 54% as Spann-Ford emerges in Cowboys TE role.
Ferguson's role in the Cowboys offense has deteriorated significantly this season. After finishing as TE5 overall in PPR scoring and TE10 in PPG last season with 11.1 weekly PPR points average, Ferguson is sitting at 7.4 PPG this season, inflated by a two-touchdown, 20.3-point performance in Week 2. Outside of that outing, he's averaging just 4.84 PPG and is completely reliant on touchdowns. On Sunday night, Ferguson hit a season-low 54% snap share, coinciding with a season-high 46% of snaps for Brevyn Spann-Ford—his lowest snap percentage for a healthy Ferguson since taking over the starting role in 2023. Spann-Ford saw five targets for four catches and 35 yards compared to Ferguson's three targets for two grabs and 13 yards. Although Ferguson ran 29 routes compared to 16 for Spann-Ford, he is losing ground quickly in the Cowboys' offense.
