Bleeding Green Nation on Marquise Brown
From the article
Hollywood Brown is "a name that teams seeking [wide receiver] help believe could be traded in the coming weeks," according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz... the team kept him inactive behind six active receivers (DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Elijah Moore, and Britain Covey) as a healthy scratch. So, it's clear that Brown doesn't have a role in Philly.
STACKED’s take
Hollywood Brown expected to be traded; inactive healthy scratch with no Eagles role.
Hollywood Brown is available for trade and expected to be shopped by the Eagles in the coming weeks, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Brown has struggled to earn playing time in Philadelphia: he was active but played zero snaps in Week 1, managed only 17 snaps in Week 2, missed three games with an ankle injury, and was kept inactive as a healthy scratch in Week 6 behind six active receivers (DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon, Darius Cooper, Elijah Moore, and Britain Covey). The source notes Brown has no clear role in the Eagles' offense and would welcome a new NFL home, though the Eagles are unlikely to receive significant trade compensation for the one-year, $5 million contract signed earlier in the year.
