STACKED’s take
Skattebo benched for fumbles (6 snaps, 0 touches), but source sees punishment as temporary.
Skattebo was benched after fumbling issues this season, playing a career-low six offensive snaps (8.3% share) and receiving zero touches for the first time in his career per Next Gen Stats. However, Harbaugh was adamant post-game that Skattebo wasn't "benched" but rather the coach was trying to get everybody else involved. Skattebo made it clear in his post-game presser it was punishment. The source believes this punishment was temporary and expects Skattebo to be more involved next week versus Houston, making him a buy-low for RB-needy fantasy managers given the lackluster rushing attack without him (Giants RBs had 14 carries for 34 yards in Week 6) and the tough Texans matchup making him easier to acquire.
