Daily Norseman on Kyler Murray
From the article
while Kyler Murray may lead to a slight improvement in the Vikings offense...Murray also seems to be slowly becoming more comfortable and acclimated to the Vikings offense and appears to be getting back to one of the better iterations of Kyler Murray over the years.
STACKED’s take
Murray slowly acclimating to Vikings system; durability concerns offset by upside with full offense.
Kyler Murray was expected to lead only a slight improvement in the Vikings offense over the prior season led by J.J. McCarthy, Carson Wentz, and Max Brosmer; skepticism centered on fit with Kevin O'Connell's offense, questions about whether he peaked years ago, and durability concerns. Through five weeks, this view has been mostly vindicated: the Vikings offense hasn't improved statistically over last season and Murray has missed essentially two games with a concussion. However, Murray appears to be slowly becoming more comfortable and acclimated to the Vikings offense and is getting back to one of the better iterations of Kyler Murray over the years; with all offensive weapons returning (Jordan Mason, Christian Darrisaw, T.J. Hockenson, Jordan Addison, Justin Jefferson) and continued improvement in system comfort and receiver rapport, there is scope for continued offensive improvement.
