Yahoo Sports NFL on Caleb Williams

Williams-Johnson pairing is legendary-caliber; Bears' clock control strategy maximizes his impact.

The source emphasizes that Caleb Williams and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson form a legendary QB-coach pairing that requires each other to succeed, comparing them to Brady-Belichick, Brees-Payton, Favre-Holmgren, Elway-Shanahan, and Marino-Shula. The source states: 'Ben Johnson is elite. Caleb Williams is elite. But Ben Johnson needs Caleb Williams and Caleb Williams needs Ben Johnson.' With Williams healthy, the Bears' offensive vision centers on controlling the clock and dominating time of possession (averaging 38:30 in victories), which keeps the defense fresh and limits opponent scoring opportunities.
