Arrowhead Pride on Xavier Worthy

Worthy led WRs with 7 catches on 7 targets; early focal point of game plan.

Worthy led the Chiefs' passing attack against the Chargers with 7 receptions on 7 targets for 72 yards. The offense emphasized putting the ball in his hands early and made him a major focal point of the opening script, taking advantage of his speed out of condensed sets with plays designed to use him in space. Mahomes targeted him repeatedly on shallow patterns and flats, exploiting defensive coverage breakdowns where safeties gravitated toward Travis Kelce, leaving Worthy alone.
