FantasyPros Articles on Kenneth Walker III
From the article
Walker has only two seasons of over 1,000 yards rushing. He currently has two games of over 170 rushing yards, making his league-leading stats slightly inflated. And the Chiefs, due to injuries, don't have a single passing option that the Kansas Jayhawks would want starting for them, never mind the Chiefs. Walker is the only option, making him the focus of defensive game plans
STACKED’s take
Walker's inflated stats unsustainable; sell before regression hits.
Kenneth Walker III appears to be a sell-high candidate despite league-leading stats. Walker has only two seasons of over 1,000 yards rushing and currently has two games of over 170 rushing yards, making his league-leading stats slightly inflated. The Chiefs, due to injuries, don't have a single passing option, making Walker the only option and the focus of defensive game plans. He has had durability issues in the past and is not going to continue to stack up 170+ yard games to maintain his current 1,800-2,000+ yard season pace. Chris Mitchell recommends selling now before reality sets in and structuring a trade to upgrade to a more reliable stud like Bijan Robinson or Jahmyr Gibbs. If that's not possible, he suggests acquiring two lesser or underappreciated buy-low options like Chris Olave, Christian Watson, Jaylen Warren, Chuba Hubbard, or Mathew Golden in a 2-for-1 deal. By Week 13-14 and the fantasy playoffs, Walker is expected to come down to earth and wear down.
