How big was the loss of Mike Evans with the offense's struggles in the second half?... It's definitely a big deal when you lose a player like Mike... Mike wouldn't have had a chance to have much of an effect there in the second half.

Evans potentially out vs. Falcons; limited second-half impact in this game.

Evans was potentially out against the Falcons following the Commanders game. Shanahan acknowledged losing a player like Evans is a big deal, but noted that in this specific game, Evans wouldn't have had much impact in the second half because the offense went three-and-out on consecutive drives and didn't generate enough first downs to establish a rhythm where his absence would be felt. The loss would matter more if the offense had sustained drives.
