STACKED’s take
Mahomes faces elite Seahawks defense; must navigate pre-snap disguises to avoid turnovers.
Mahomes faces the Seahawks' elite defense ranked best in the business by Andy Reid, leading the NFL in yards allowed (237 per game) with seven interceptions this season. The defense's pre-snap disguises and scheme designed to exploit predetermined throws present a significant challenge; Reid emphasized Mahomes must "see it on your drop" to avoid game-flipping turnovers. Mahomes acknowledged the talent at every level—defensive line, linebackers, secondary—and noted the scheme will "make you earn it every single drive." His prior experience against Mike Macdonald's Ravens scheme (2022-2023) provides some preparation, but this represents one of the toughest defensive tests of his season.
