STACKED’s take
Daniels: 29/40, 300 yards, 2 TDs vs 49ers; streaky play draws coach criticism.
Completed 29 of 40 passing attempts for 300 yards and two touchdowns vs 49ers, finishing 10.4 percentage points above expectation with 72.5% completion rate per NextGenStats. Film review indicates streaky performance with both brilliant plays and lapses in concentration; made critical checks at line of scrimmage and found groove in second half, particularly late third quarter with 11-play TD drive, but also made questionable decisions in clutch situations and fell short of his high standard multiple times. Coach Dan Quinn sent blunt message that Daniels needs to improve consistency, saying there are plays where he makes incredible throws but others where he needs to stay through the look.
