Finally left in command of the Steelers backfield all by himself, Jaylen Warren exploded for +24 fantasy points/game over a three-week stretch as fantasy's overall RB4. He must've done enough to keep the lion's share of work for himself in the face of a Rico Dowdle return, right? Right?!? The answer's a big old N-O.

Warren's lead-back role eroded to 61/39 split with Dowdle, negating his recent RB4 upside.

After exploding for +24 fantasy points/game over three weeks as overall RB4, Jaylen Warren's role has been significantly diminished by Rico Dowdle's return. Despite serving as the lead back, Warren's touch share split was only 61/39 in his favor with three targets going to each player. The source notes that without overtime, the duo would have split 12.3 fantasy points evenly, and warns managers to prepare for a new reality where they cancel each other out. Dowdle's 5.7 yards/attempt against Tampa Bay suggests he won't lose playing time in film review.
