Pats Pulpit on Drake Maye

Maye's blitz efficiency meets Bears' aggressive scheme; OL depth a concern.

Maye has been excellent against the blitz, which is relevant given the Bears' 7th-highest blitz rate at 39.3%; however, the Pats are down to backups at three OL spots including their fourth-string guard, creating execution risk on short week. The Bears' defensive scheme—heavy man coverage and single-high looks—appears tailor-made for Maye to exploit downfield, though he must stay efficient on first and second down to avoid third-and-long situations where Chicago's blitz packages thrive.
