Bleeding Green Nation on Jalen Hurts

Hurts operating in dysfunctional pass protection; empty formations show promise.

Hurts is operating in an Eagles offense plagued by pass protection breakdowns; the source notes the team has zero successful under-center play-action plays when blitzed (0/18, 0% success rate) and is losing an average of almost a full expected point on those plays. Empty formations have been the Eagles' most productive formation under pressure (12 pressured plays), suggesting the offense needs to spread the defense out and give Hurts clear answers to establish rhythm rather than asking him to escape broken protection concepts.
