Blough certainly knows Daniels from his time as the team's assistant quarterbacks coach in 2024 and 2025, but it's different when you're in charge of the whole thing. Daniels' 2026 upside tempered by new OC Blough's learning curve and injury recovery.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels is back from injury but faces uncertainty in 2026 due to new offensive coordinator Blough's first year as OC; while Blough knows Daniels from his time as assistant QBs coach in 2024-2025, the 2026 season may focus on ironing out schisms rather than Daniels fully unleashing his powers after injuries in 2025-2026 held him back.
