FantasyPros Articles on Chase Brown
From the article
I'm not concerned about Brown moving forward. Brown will have to get by with passing game usage and overall volume this week after laying all of that out because Baltimore's run defense has been formidable this season.
STACKED’s take
Brown remains workhorse despite Perine's role; tough matchup vs. Ravens defense.
Brown is the RB19 in fantasy points per game, averaging 19 touches and 74 total yards. In his last game before the bye, Samaje Perine cut into his early-down workload, but the source is not concerned about Brown moving forward. In that game, Brown still had a 60.3% snap rate, 41.9% rushing share, and 60.6% route share (12.5% target share), splitting red zone rushing work with Perine (four red zone rushing attempts each) but maintaining a 63.2% snap rate in the red zone. Brown's workload could bounce back this week, but even if it continues along this path, he remains the workhorse back for Cincinnati. Among 38 qualifying backs, Brown ranks 19th in yards after contact per attempt and 27th in missed tackle rate. Baltimore's run defense has been formidable, allowing the eighth-lowest explosive run rate, fifth-lowest rushing success rate, and 11th-lowest missed tackle rate.
