Stroud thrives in spread, tempo offense; recent improvement tied to scheme fit.

Stroud's recent improvement stems from the Texans abandoning their run-heavy, ball-control approach and opening up the offense. He performs better when things are spread out and he works in tempo; while not as athletic or strong-armed as other quarterbacks, he is extremely accurate when given time to throw. The source notes that recognizing what Stroud does well and accentuating that has been the key to his better play this season.
