Niners Nation on Brock Purdy

Purdy's execution issues, not receiver absence, caused second-half stall.

Purdy's performance in the second half against Washington was affected by execution issues rather than receiver availability. On third-and-three, his pass to Brandin Cooks was tipped, resulting in a field goal instead of a touchdown. On another drive, Purdy didn't find his outlet receiver out of the backfield and attempted to scramble at the last minute, resulting in a sack. The source argues that with a week of practice to prepare without Mike Evans, the Kyle Shanahan-led offense will be well-equipped to score.
