Yahoo Sports NFL on Jordan Love

Love QB3 with 20.9 proj. points; dream matchup vs. Lions' league-worst QB defense.

Love is ranked QB3 for Week 7 with 20.9 projected points. He sits QB14 on the season (19.7 PPG) with +0.13 EPA per dropback (QB15) across six starts. While his ground game is minimal at 2.0 rushing yards per game, Love has generated 281 passing yards per game (fifth) and 11 touchdowns through the air. The source notes there hasn't been a more aggressive QB on film this year, with outrageous deep ball placement and hundreds of yards and multiple scores left by drops from his weapons. He draws a dream spot against Detroit, which ranks first in half PPR points allowed to QBs, with opposing offenses lighting up the Lions through the air. Recent QBs including Jacoby Brissett (QB7), Bryce Young (QB7), Geno Smith (QB4), and Josh Allen (40.8 half PPR points) have gone nuts. The Packers have a 25.25-point team total (sixth) as slight dogs in a dome environment.
