Yahoo Sports NFL on Saquon Barkley

Barkley set for massive workload as Eagles' focal point with Hurts sidelined.

Barkley's return would provide a massive boost to the Eagles' running back room decimated by injuries. He would be expected to handle a massive workload in Week 7 against the Cowboys given Dameon Pierce's ineffectiveness (49 yards, 1 TD on 21 carries in two games) and the recency of Elijah Mitchell's addition to the practice squad. Barkley will become the offense's focal point with starting quarterback Jalen Hurts likely out for the remainder of the season due to blood clots in his lungs.
