NeutralRole

Daniels is the assumed starter for Tampa, pending Mayfield's injury recovery.

Jalon Daniels is assumed to be the starting quarterback for Tampa Bay against Carolina this week, though his role is contingent on Baker Mayfield's injury status. The source notes that Mayfield versus Daniels would represent a significant alteration in the Buccaneers' offensive approach, implying Daniels is the current starter but potentially a placeholder if Mayfield returns.
