From the article

Adams was still running routes during the fourth quarter, so I can't even blame his ruptured hamstring. That was his second straight week playing third fiddle with either one of the RBs or TEs functioning as the WR2.

Adams relegated to third option in passing game for second straight week; role decline threatens value.

Adams finished as WR48 in Week 6 despite running routes in the fourth quarter, indicating a significant role decline. He played third fiddle for the second straight week with either a running back or tight end functioning as the WR2. His red zone prowess has been saving his fantasy value, but the diminished role is a major concern.
