Very disappointing so far this year... his value is probably as low as possible. So, to me, Chase Brown is much closer to a buy. If you have them, I'm holding on to them... They play the Ravens, who they always play pretty well and and put up a lot of points against. They get the Titans after that, the Falcons... the schedule does open up a bit... I don't really see a world where Samaji Perine outplays Chase Brown, gets more snaps than Chase Brown going forward.
STACKED’s take
Buy-low candidate; value at floor after tough schedule; clear lead back ahead.
Chase Brown has been very disappointing so far this year with touchdowns hard to come by and work-sharing with Samaje Perine, but the source argues his value is probably as low as possible. Brown has faced elite run defenses in his first five games (Tampa Bay RB14 with 19 PPR points in week one, Houston, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jaguars, Miami), which explains his underwhelming production. The source is much closer to a buy on Brown; if you own him, hold steady since the bye-week is past. The schedule improves significantly after the bye: Ravens (historically favorable matchup), Titans, Falcons, Washington, Panthers, and Colts in weeks 15–16 provide run-friendly opportunities. The source sees no scenario where Samaje Perine outplays or gets more snaps than Brown going forward. The Cincinnati Bengals offense is expected to be strong in the second half, supporting Brown's role as the starting running back.
