Skattebo's talent is limited; Giants are seeking upgrades at RB.

Skattebo's popularity and appeal outweigh his talent and production. His lack of speed and size make him a limited player. The Giants' interest in Kenneth Walker in free agency, Jeremiah Love in the draft, and speculation about trading for Jonathan Taylor indicate they view Skattebo as not equal to elite backs. His reduced touches against New Orleans were due to ball security issues, and the benching sent a message about accountability.
