Yahoo Sports NFL on Makai Lemon
From the article
DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) and Dallas Goedert (knee) have missed practice this week and their availability for Monday night against the Cowboys is in question. So this could be a big moment for Makai Lemon. The rookie first-round pick has had solid moments through the first six weeks of the season.
STACKED’s take
Lemon gets expanded role with Smith, Wicks, Goedert questionable for Cowboys game.
The rookie first-round pick (No. 20 overall from USC) is facing a big opportunity in Monday night's game vs. the Cowboys with DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), and Dallas Goedert (knee) all missing practice and their availability in question. Through six games, Lemon has played 72% of the Eagles' offensive snaps with 18 catches on 28 targets for 127 yards. With the Eagles' top receivers potentially sidelined, Lemon will be the only normal starter among the likely receiving options (Lemon, Darius Cooper, Elijah Moore, Hollywood Brown). The source notes Lemon has looked much better when not receiving passes behind the line of scrimmage and has been learning with backup quarterback Tanner McKee following Jalen Hurts' season-ending blood clot injury.
