The only game this season the Jets have scored 24+ points or had Geno throw multiple touchdowns was the 31-24 loss in Detroit, which fired up the fanbase about the Jets' offensive potential. The Jets haven't even surpassed 20 points since, 4th worst in the league during this span.

Smith's only 24-point, 2-TD game was Detroit loss; due for repeat.

Geno Smith's sole performance of 24+ points and 2+ pass touchdowns this season came in the 31-24 loss to Detroit in Week 5, which fired up the fanbase about offensive potential. Since then, the Jets haven't surpassed 20 points in any game, ranking 4th worst in the league during this span. Against Miami's defense that has allowed 24+ points four times in five games and 2+ pass TDs in all four of those games, the source expects Smith to finally replicate that performance.
