I think having Cousins around while Mendoza is starting would be valuable for the Raiders. Whenever he takes over, Mendoza is going to have his ups and downs as a starter. That's where having a mentor like Cousins helps because it gives the rookie a peer to talk to when it comes to staying mentally resilient in the NFL, especially since Cousins has been through the wringer during his 15 years in the league.

Cousins' mentorship valuable for Mendoza's rookie QB development.

Ojomo views having Cousins around while Mendoza is starting as valuable for the rookie's development; Cousins can serve as a mentor to help Mendoza stay mentally resilient during his ups and downs as a starter, given Cousins' 15 years of NFL experience and having been through significant challenges during his career.
