Silver And Black Pride on Ashton Jeanty
From the article
I find it highly disturbing that Ashton Jeanty is not performing that well and that Mike Washington Jr. is performing materially better...34 vs. 98 carries is starting to feel like a more valid sample size...when you're drafted in the same range as Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson, that becomes an expectation...if there's an opportunity to trade Jeanty either at the deadline or in the offseason and recoup some value, like a second-rounder, I think the Raiders should jump on that
STACKED’s take
Jeanty's draft pedigree unmet; Ojomo supports trading him for a second-rounder if opportunity arises.
Jeanty's performance is concerning relative to draft expectations. While defenses play him differently (41.8% of carries against heavy box vs. Washington's 20.6%), Ojomo's patience is wearing thin. Jeanty has 34 carries vs. Mike Washington Jr.'s 98, and while 78.9% of his yards come after contact (vs. Washington's 66.1%), he lacks the ability to consistently create from nothing—a critical gap when drafted in the same range as Saquon Barkley and Bijan Robinson. Ojomo positioned Jeanty a tier below elite backs (worthy of first-round pick but outside top 10) and would support trading him at the deadline or offseason for a second-rounder unless performance improves.
