The Giants wouldn't have elevated the 2023 third-round pick from the practice squad just to be a spectator. I am curious how much Hyatt plays, and how Nagy uses him. The Giants need more explosive plays, and Hyatt's speed combined with McCarthy's ability to throw the deep ball could be part of why Hyatt is getting this chance.

Hyatt elevated to exploit speed with McCarthy's deep-ball ability.

Hyatt was elevated from the practice squad and is expected to play a meaningful role in the offense; the Giants elevated him specifically to use his speed combined with McCarthy's ability to throw the deep ball to generate more explosive plays, and he earned the opportunity through his work over the past six weeks.
