STACKED’s take
Watson's first 300-yard game in Cleveland featured clutch late-game execution and strong pocket presence.
Watson played a strong game with 25 completions on 36 attempts for 308 yards, one interception, one rushing touchdown, and just one sack despite heavy pressure. The source notes his first 300-yard game in Cleveland. He threw a perfect long ball to Concepcion that was dropped, had a touchdown run reminiscent of his Clemson days, found open receivers on many 20+ yard throws, executed an excellent sneak in the second quarter, and showed incredible pocket escape ability. He had one dumb interception where he stared down WR Denzel Boston, and the rookie receiver also didn't run the proper route. With 58 seconds remaining and the game tied at 24-all, Watson completed a six-yard pass, then an eight-yard pass, then struck Fannin for the game-winning drive. Three rushes for 19 yards and a score. QB rating of 84.0.
