STACKED’s take
Hall's injury opens door for Allen; his role security now in question.
Hall's grip on the lead runner role is becoming tenuous after missing four games due to injury (first multi-game absence since rookie year). In his absence, backup Braelon Allen has produced 421 yards from scrimmage over four games with 72 carries for 357 yards at 5.0 yards per carry, averaging 4.2+ yards per carry in each game. Hall has had only two four-game stretches in 59 career games with 357+ rushing yards and only two stretches averaging 4.2+ yards per carry each game. The source notes Hall has never had a season with a success rate over 50% as a runner in five years, while Allen has never had a season under 50% in three years, suggesting Allen may be the more efficient option going forward.
