James converted Purdy's shovel pass into first down on second-and-long.

James benefited from Brock Purdy's pocket mobility; on one play where Colton McKivitz was beaten cleanly off the line of scrimmage, Purdy danced around the pocket just long enough before shoveling the ball to James, who ran for a first down, turning a second-and-long into a first down.
