Yahoo Sports NFL on Devin Singletary

Singletary scored in OT with backfield decimated; potential Week 9 role if Tracy out.

With Najee Harris cut and both Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy suffering hamstring injuries in the Giants' win over the Texans, Singletary was the last healthy option and cashed in with a 30-yard touchdown run in overtime. He doesn't hit must-roster territory and shouldn't be stashed into the Week 8 bye, but there's a non-zero chance he's part of a rotation in Week 9 against the Eagles, especially if Tracy remains out. With the Giants using J.J. McCarthy to help control the running game, the backfield has more upside than it did with Jameis Winston.
