Shough's 278 yards featured short passes but lacked explosive plays in Saints' loss.

Shough diced up the Steelers' defense on his way to 278 passing yards, with an average of 7.3 yards per completion. He was able to move the ball consistently through underneath throws and short passes, with four separate Saints receivers totaling at least 50 yards. However, he lacked explosive plays and the Saints were limited to just two scores, one of which was a touchdown. Shough completed a 14-yard pass to Chris Olave to open the Saints' final drive but two incompletions set up a 3rd-and-10 that resulted in an interception.
