Evans held out due to injury; his absence broke down offensive structure.

Evans was held out of the Week 7 game against Atlanta due to not being 100% healthy; the 49ers played the long game by not pushing him out there. His absence broke down the structure of the offense, as the beat-up wideout corps meant Purdy was operating with a stripped-down game plan. Evans has caught contested throws all year that are now being missed by other receivers.
