Blogging The Boys on Jonathan Mingo

Mingo takes over punt return duties with Turpin out; 16-yard return vs. Packers shows potential.

With KaVontae Turpin out with a rib injury, Jonathan Mingo will be relied on as Dallas' primary punt returner alongside Tyler Goodson in the return game. Mingo showed a bit of something against the Packers, returning one punt for 16 yards. The source notes Mingo is not on the same level as Turpin as a return specialist, but his biggest test will be avoiding turnovers in a situation he isn't too familiar with. The source frames success as Mingo spending the entire game waving his hand for a fair catch on every punt and not coughing it up to give the Eagles offense momentum in what could be a tightly contested game.
