McCaffrey expected back after bye with mild hamstring strain; Shanahan optimistic

McCaffrey left the Week 6 loss to Atlanta in the first half with what was initially believed to be a thigh injury but was later diagnosed as a mild hamstring strain. Shanahan said he was "pretty optimistic" about McCaffrey's chances to play against the Raiders after the bye week, though he cautioned "you never know for sure." McCaffrey had 69 yards from scrimmage on the opening touchdown drive but managed only 31 yards the rest of the game while battling the injury.
