Brooks underwent emergency wrist surgery after suffering a sprain or fracture during the Week 7 game against Denver when he extended the ball attempting to score near the goal line. He posted on Instagram that he is done for the season. The 26-year-old had been a preseason standout and was expected to see increased workload after Marv Harrison's trade, with targets rising once Harrison departed. Through seven games, Brooks had 17 targets, 5 receptions for 81 yards (16.2 yards per catch), 26 YAC, 3 first downs, and 1 drop.
