Black leads 49ers rushing in Week 7; elite handcuff value if McCaffrey misses time.

Black is positioned as the most indispensable handcuff running back in fantasy football. In Week 7 against the Falcons, he led the 49ers with 12-63-1 rushing. Christian McCaffrey sustained a mild hamstring injury in that game but is expected to play after the 49ers' Week 8 bye. Black, a physical runner with good vision similar to former McCaffrey backup Jordan Mason, would rank as a weekly RB1 if McCaffrey misses time, though he is not much of a pass catcher.
