Yahoo Sports NFL on Cam Skattebo

Skattebo's penalty and prior fumble benching create uncertainty around his role and playing time.

Running back Cam Skattebo had an unnecessary roughness penalty called on him in the first quarter when he ran over safety M.J. Stewart; officials ruled that Skattebo illegally used his helmet to make contact, negating a 7-yard run. Head coach John Harbaugh defended Skattebo's technique, saying he was "quite sure [Skattebo]'s not trying to use his helmet as a weapon" and that "He's leading with his shoulder. That's what he's trying to do." Harbaugh noted Skattebo had fumble issues that resulted in a benching a week ago.
