Bell's YAC prowess and separation struggles suggest slot role maximizes value.

Chris Bell should move to the slot despite having the size, strength, and speed for outside receiver work. Bell has struggled generating consistent separation on the perimeter but has shown elite YAC ability and physicality after the catch; against Cincinnati he had a long run, and against the Jets he gained 8 yards on a WR screen that should have been stopped for a loss. The source argues Bell can do the most damage as an underneath slot player while retaining the flexibility to play outside.
