Hogs Haven on Treylon Burks

Burks nearly hauls in 55-yard TD on Rider concept; execution issue only.

On the Commanders' Rider play-action concept against the Cowboys, Burks runs a streak right down the seam. This combination with McLaurin's high cross is designed to attack single-high safety coverages like the one the Cowboys play. Daniels reads the safety and pulls the trigger to Burks on the go route, but puts slightly too much on the pass; despite Burks making a full diving effort, the ball grazes his fingertips and falls incomplete. If Daniels takes a yard off that throw, Burks has an uncontested 55-yard touchdown.
